How Goddess Beats Came To Fruition
Taura Amoy started her career in the beauty industry as a freelance makeup artist in 2016. Her passion came from a childhood where she would collect fashion and teen magazines, studying gorgeous makeup, skin, photography, and fashion. She turned to makeup to boost her self-confidence from years of being bullied for having a brown skin tone. Taura taught herself to do makeup by watching YouTube videos and practicing endlessly on herself, family and friends.
Taura Amoy chose to further her career in 2018 when she signed up for esthetics school where she taught the importance of skincare, sanitation, and much more. She maintained an ‘A’ average and was praised by her peers, professors, and clients for her amazing touch. She also successfully launched a cosmetic company, Goddess Minx by Taura Amoy, that same year where she focused on providing quality, vegan and paraben-free products with the most amazing and eye-catching packaging.

In her 5th year of business, Taura expanded her brand into two well-known areas in the RDU area: Triangle Town Center and Crabtree Valley Mall. Now in her 7th year of business, she has ventured into doing bridal makeup and secured 20 weddings in 1 year! She continues to elevate her brand while inspiring others to be positive and patient while building their own brand.
